About Jackson »

I am a Sport Marketing and Management major at Indiana University. My life revolves around the Indianapolis Colts. My passion extends to the offseason and following the Colts through draft time. I am aspiring to become an NFL scout and I am doing my best to get my foot in the door with the Hoosiers football team but it has been slow going so far. My professional idol is Colts GM Bill Polian and I aspire to be as successful as him someday. I decided to start writing on this site because I would like to share my opinions more publicly and have the ability to go back and see how accurate some of my predictions become. I look forward to writing about the Colts, the Colts draft strategy and what college players may don the blue and white someday, and my new developing passion, the up-and-coming Indiana Hoosiers football program.

No problem man, hopefully you can get your thoughts in next time. However, you are still considered a roundtable member, so here it is:

Alright I got a plan for the first offseason roundtable. I received this request earlier for Indianapolis Colts analysis following Tony Dungy's expected announcement of retirement.

With Tony Dungy set to retire, I’m looking for a Colts writer to speculate about the immediate future of the Colts franchise, and speculate who should fill Dungy's shoes. How big of an impact will Dungy's departure have on the team? Should the Colts hire from within, or try and lure an available veteran coach (such as Mike Shanahan, Bill Cowher, etc.) to Indianapolis? What move gives this current Colts team the best chance to make a deep playoff run next year?

Well, us within the Colts community know that Jim Caldwell has all but been given the job gift-wrapped for a few years now, so my question would be "is Jim Caldwell the best guy or should the Colts go after one of the marquee guys mentioned above or someone else?

If you can, send me your analysis by Wednesday or Thursday, and hopefully I can get it up by Thursday night. Let me know if you can do it. Also, If you have ideas for the next one or would like to put the next one together, let me know.

Hey man I've been reading some of your stuff, and it's really good. Here in the Colts community, we have done a "roundtable" where we bring the best writers from the community and have a joint article published on arbitrary topics we pick as a group. We started it earlier this year, but it kind of fell by the wayside. A few of us are trying to resurrect it. Would you want in?
