Roberto's Bio

I am originally from Donna, TX. I am an alumnus of the University of Michigan. So given my background where football runs deep I love football with a passion. My teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Michigan Wolverines (I got love for UT though) and Donna Redskins (HS team). However I do follow all sports via TV, internet, blogs, etc. so I'd like to think I have a pretty high sports IQ.

I look forward to contributing my opinions on this website and hope you do too or at least agree to disagree. Please note I will be taking advantage of the editors, as I am not a sportswriter nor do I claim to be. Feel free to drop me a line and lets debate/discuss/analyze/whatever. Yall can call me Rob too.

- for some reason this is my least read article, and I'm actually rather proud of it. so here is my way of self-promotion:

*** I am currently in a writer's block/break from BR but am stil around and will be commenting. with football season being over, it's been hard for me to find something truly interesting to write about outside A-Rod. I will be back shorty with something creative, or semi-creative***

  1. Roberto:

The title explains itself: How the Dallas Cowboys Stole My Heart.

If you have the time, I'd love for you to check it out. If not, no worries. Thanks!

  2. Yo Roberto!

Just posted my latest. Breaking down my expectations for the Cowboys' 2009 season. If you have a second, I would love your feedback, but if you cannot get around to it, no worries! Thansk!

  3. A Story From A True Patriots Fan...check this one out...

  4. Hey my play-by-play says you commented on my article, but I don't see a comment! What's up wit dat?

  5. Roberto:

We have seen a ton of lists, rankings, etc. all over B/R. I finally tried one of my own, but I tried to tackle this particular list from a different angle than the norm. My list is of the 10 Most Valuable Offensive Players in the NFL.

These players aren't necessarily the best in the league, or even the best at their positions, but rather the 10 players that mean the most to their particular team's SB chances.

Would love your input if you have a chance. If not, no worries. Thanks!

  6. Roberto:NFL runningback Ryan Moats was pulled over last week on the way to the hospital to say goodbye to his dieing mother-in-law. He was detained and harassed by the officer for almost 15 minutes, and in that time his mother-in-law passed away. He was not able to get to her in time to say goodbye.

I was heartbroken when I heard this story, but enraged when I actually saw a 17 minute video of the entire incident. I have never seen such an abuse of power in my life.

Because of the nature of this subject, this article was pretty important to me. I would love if you could check it out when you get a chance. If not, no problem. Thanks!

  7. Thought you might enjoy this since its Cowboys related. I'm still not sure how much I like it haha, but check it out if you have a few minutes and lemme know what you think. Tried to have a little fun with it!

  8. Roberto, every time I hear about how Jay Cutler was betrayed and had his feelings hurt it makes my blood boil. I can't keep hush any longer!

Let me know what you think if you have the time, if not no worries!

  9. Hey,

Can you check out this article? It really means alot to me.

  10. Dude, I think it is time for you to write article number 10. Lets get to the double digits dude!!!

  11. While I think we could make do with what we got, I tend to agree with you. I just would call Jurevicius a "weapon" haha

I like the guy, but Hurd, Crayton, Austin are all better in my opinion. Torry Holt is a name that I've heard thrown around a bit that interests me.

  12. A couple of years ago, maybe, but I'm not interested now. He is getting old, and has never really been that great. I liked him when he was with Tampa, but he's a No.3 receiver at absolute best, and I like our younger guys better than him.

  13. Roberto:

This is my first stab at college hoops... My Baylor Bears had a HUGE win over Kansas today in the Big XII tourney, and I just had to celebrate! Check it out if you have a chance. If it's not your cup of tea, no worries! Thanks!

  14. Roberto:

Don't know if you were around when we did our first one, but myself, James Williamson, and Andrew Nuschler have put together a Dallas Cowboys' roundtable. Our second installment is focusing on—you guessed it—the news of the Terrell Owens release.

It's a lengthy read, but there is some pretty good stuff in there. Check it out if you have a chance. If you can't get around to it, no worries. Thanks!

  15. Time to run the ball, Roberto! haha
