About

Don't let the dyed-blond hair and mini skirts fool you: Chelena is five-feet-four-inches of nonstop sports talk. Whether it's a strong defensive line or a bad call during a hoops game, she never misses an opportunity to rub elbows and share a drink with fellow sports enthusiasts.
The third generation San Francisco Giants fan was born and raised in the Bay Area, where her dad (and favorite sports buddy) coached both of her younger brothers in little league, and always had a different sport on TV.
After moving to the city for college, she spent two semesters on the San Francisco State University sports desk, covering basketball, soccer, even the school's newly-reinstated rugby club. She most recently wrote freelance for start-up SFBay.ca where she covered the 49ers, Raiders and Stanford 2011 football seasons.

In addition to her love of all things FOO'BAAAAALLLLLLL, Chelena is also an avid baseball fan. You can see her and her best friend sporting black-and-orange tutus in the San Francisco Giants 2012 ad campaign.

Hi Chelana, nice article on Rhett Ellison. He actually went to my daughter's HS, Saint Francis in Mountain View, & it's good to see him have a chance in the NFL. Hope to see you again soon. Maybe we can catch a Giants game in SF.

Please do some research before you write another article. Saying that Pierre Garcon had a "dive" in production without Peyton Manning in your "Overplayed Their Hand" article when he actually had his best year statistically removes any amount of credibility you might have.
