Currently, I serve as a staff writer for the Brockton Enterprise, covering mostly high school sports south of Boston on the south shore. I've had front page articles run in the Patriot Ledger, Taunton Gazette and Metrowest Daily News. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Sports Journalism from Springfield College in Massachusetts in May 2010. I love to write, enjoy watching or discussing any sport, and can't get enough of baseball. If I'm doing anything involving baseball, chances are there's a smile on my face. In college I served as the sports editor of SC's school paper, The Springfield Student, as well as the Sports Director of both the TV and Radio Stations on campus. My journalism background began in high school writing for the Laker Legend at Silver Lake Regional High. I've also written for a couple of magazines, the Western Mass Sports Journal and the Pride Sports Journal. Journalism has already allowed me to be a part of online podcasts and to have my work featured on several websites. Since arriving at Springfield College I've had the chance work as a Boston Globe assistant covering men's basketball games at UMASS as well as a media relations intern for the AHL's Springfield Falcons. Additionally I was invited to last the 2008 NBA Basketball Hall of Fame Induction and spent the afternoon with Hakeem Olajuwon and Patrick Ewing. I've also been lucky enough to interview Billy Donovan and Roy Williams, and have been in attendance for the Hall of Fame Classic-a high school basketball invitational that Kevin Durant and Michael Beasely have played at-because of my connections to the Student. I feel like being a sport journalist would be one of the greatest jobs on the planet, and feel extremely lucky that I've already experienced some incredible things in this field. I will never take any of these experiences for granted, and I look forward to whatever I may encounter while pursuing this as a profession.
