John's Bio

John comes from prestigious beginnings all of which he pretty much forgets. Most maintain John is an odd person, yet he maintains everyone else is odd so much so that they can’t recognize his greatness. Under the guise of a mild mannered sports reporter, there lies a pool of random knowledge and numerous ideas.

John is possibly one of the greatest minds of the 20th and 21st centuries, matching wits with Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson, Pete Rose, Jose Canseco and Bill Walton. He has studied at notable schools such as Frankie’s school for the extremely stupid, and Clown college.

  1. John,
Your Best Players to Never Win a Title finally got posted on Fox Sports. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8478194#sport=NFL&photo=8455420. Thanks again,

    Chris

  2. John,

You do some awesome stuff for B/R! Is there any chance that I could publish some of your stuff on my blog, www.cardinaltwist.com? I'll include your name, link, and anything else you want!

    Thanks,
    Ben

  3. Good article- we should have combined our efforts for the best baseball families/combos of all time

  4. Hey John, the newest Cardinals Roundtable is up. Give it a look.

  5. Hey

just writing to tell you that I am no longer writing for Bleacher Report. I have embarked on several new ventures of my own and they are in direct conflict content-wise with BR.

Two of my blogs (mrflushing.com and blognyg.com) have been incorporated into the Yardbarker network and and a third one - ny giant nation - is being run by sportsblognet.com

I also bought into a sports video site that is in its infancy - smackcaster.com - which we are still developing....

  6. John, you were the under-appreciated writer of the week on my "Midweek Round-Up." Congrats and keep the good stuff coming!

  7. aw, but I liked Clown College.....they gave away the free rubber ball noses, and cool shoes!
plus, it's better than the liutenberg college for the criminally insane....nice place, but the jackets are a bit tight.

  8. Absolutely! What's your e-mail address so I can send you the questions. It will probably be sent this weekend.

  9. Burns here:

Considering we just opened up shop in March, we're only getting a few hundred every day, but we get spikes here and there when we're linked. We know some people because Mike (another writer) works at an online advertising company, like the guy who does HolyTaco.com.

Shit. If you get over 92,000 a month then you could probably get an account with them for ad placement.

Do you have any advice on traffic or anything? We've been using this, Yardbarker (which sucks) and link swaping with some random sites. We really have no idea other than a little SEO.

Shoot me an e-mail at Rwillburns@gmail.com and I'll forward this stuff to Mike.

At the least we'd love to do a link swap, but I really don't see the benefit for you considering how small time we are. HAHA.

Thanks again for the ad back.

  10. Thanks for the pick of the day nod, never had one before. I dont think it's brilliant either. I was saying since your an experienced writer what do you think I have to do to make my pieces brilliant.

  11. Thanks for reading the article and commenting on it. What can I do to make that "good" be "brilliant"?

  12. Thanks! A real boost on my part when i get a fan like yourself! no joke.

  13. Hey John,

Added your blog to the blogroll on my website. Hope that some of my readers will become fans of your work.
