Practicing martial arts since I was 6. Competed in amateur MMA until 2002. Currently teach Chung Do Kwan TKD and Japanese Jujitsu. The family and I watched UFC on day one back in 1993 and been a family of fans of all things MMA related ever since. MMA continues to bring my father, me, my brothers, and even our significant others and kids together on a regular basis. Yet the old man STILL yells at us for bickering back and forth on the type of things found here on Bleacher Report.
I'm a HUGE proponent of the SPORT of MMA which means that I often find myself at odds with the UFC. There's no denying that Dana and Co. have put MMA in the spotlight which is outstanding but I constantly fear that due to Dana's penchant for "entertaining fights," seemingly at the cost of other things, the sports integrity and legitimacy will eventually take a hit.
But it's still better than fake stuff like WWE!! And I'll always be active in trying to do any little thing to promote the sport. Whether it's simply watching with friends or hosting a local internet radio show as I've done in the past.
There ya go.
