Matt is a Journalism student at Western Michigan University. He has been featured on Fox Sports for his analysis of Detroit Tigers baseball. He is also a beat reporter for Western Michigan University men's soccer, football, baseball and softball.

He has spent the last two years with TigsTown as a Senior Correspondent, writing various scouting reports on Tigers prospects like Jacob Turner, Nick Castellanos, Drew Smyly and Bruce Rondon.

Matt was a 2009 recipient of the Al Neuharth Free Spirit in Journalism Award, which recognizes some of the top high school journalists from across the country. He is also the recipient of numerous awards from the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association and the Michigan Press Association Foundation.
