BigReg's Bio

I've decided I no longer want to pitch in the MLB now that Todd Jones isn't pitching. Now all I want is a stove top pirates hat and a cigarette. If I had that I might be able to be as good of manager as Leyland.

I know in my heart that if Todd Jones can make it in the MLB. There is still hope for a 6'4 lefty from the WSPSL, Wyoming Slow Pitch Softball League. (What else would it be?)

Updated 08 stats

11-1
12 Complete Games
ERA of 7.74
6 STRIKE OUTS and 1 walk 6/1 K/Walks AWESOME RATIO!!!
84 Innings Pitched

Plus, if I end up w/ a National League team, they should know, I CAN HANDLE MY WOOD!!!
Batting Average .455
On base % .612
Slugging % .743
HR 7

With these kind of numbers, what team wouldn't want this future star?

  1. Hello Buddy, I would like you to take a look at this important article. it will most likely be my last on bleacher report. Feel free to pass it around. God Bless and thank you.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/283900-you-are-not-a-unique-snowflake

  2. Hey BigReg—Dave Mo here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.

I've been spending time on our humor page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.

Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?

If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at dmorrison@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.

    Thanks so much,

    Dave Mo

  3. What no Jonesy retires article? For shame.

  4. sorry can you send me that email again about the Round Table. i seemed to have deleted it. if you forgot the awards are best starter, reliever, power hitter, overall hitter, fielder, rookie, suprise player, minor leaguer.

    sorry....thanks

  5. Great call on Kidd. He is so slow now. Check out my new piece on Stuart Scott. You will enjoy.

  6. Well let's see. Real hard to compete money wise, since all our money down here now goes to Jerry Jones and his gaudy-monstristy of the new Texas Stadium, BTW I hate the cowboys.

But we can offer you a nice ranch style house, with tons of land, oil rights, shotguns for the whole family, your own fishing lake (technically its a fishing hole), and all of George Strait's CDs.

Let the other teams know and we will be waiting for your response.

  7. Thanks again for the POTD. Yeah I sent that article to many friends and even got my mother in tears in her office on the first day of school, until later when she read the whole article.

7.74 ERA, not bad. Play on a team in Highland Village, Dallas County, Texas and we are a good team, just need a pitcher...we can use a 7.74 ERA

  8. appreciate the PoD vote BigReg....the stove top hat is classic

  9. Ahah my bad. I usually look down to a previous revision to see who the author's name was, but someone else had already edited it. That's who Brendan was. Weird, cuz I knew your name here was Big Reg when I was reading the teaser.

  10. Oh man, the double whammy for Jonesy! You've sent him back to the minors. He was pitching in that 13 inning marathon and got lit up for a couple runs. So did Rodney in the ninth. Can't see us catching up with this kind of bullpen, but you never know.

  11. It seems odd that the Tigs are only 5.5 back! They really haven't put much together all at the same time this year. I think I worry about the Twins more than the Sox. Liriano should be called up soon (can't understand why the Twins are waiting) which will make them even better. In the final analysis, I think both teams (Twins and Sox) continue to play better, more consistent ball than the Tigs. And our bullpen is a mess. And we could really use another starter. Our offense needs to start clicking every day if we're going to get this done. Problems aside, they are right there, so I continue to believe.

  12. Poor Jonesy. Is it over for him? Or do you think he'll end up in the seventh/eight inning?

  13. How's the WSPSL '08 season going for you? Gotta keep us updated! Give the fans what they want!

  14. Thanks for the POTD Reg!
