About

FOR EDITORS: A friendly reminder, you are free to make changes to the body of my articles as you wish to improve readability. You may also change the article titles, but I reserve my right to revert them as I see fit. Also, be sure to use the Inbox if you need to point out clarifications regarding my pieces. If the Inbox is not available, let me know on my Bulletin Board below of any corrections that need to be made. Don't post them in my comments. I will flag your entire conversation as I see fit. Thank you.

All right then, my name is Jo-Ryan Salazar, and here's my bio.

Aside from being a sports fan like the rest of your here on b/r, I write columns on Major League Soccer and the Los Angeles Galaxy and previously wrote on Women's Professional Soccer. I am a proud alumnus of Cal State Long Beach, after already earning a couple AA degrees at Long Beach City College. I am a proud recipient of an MBA and a Master of Information Systems Management degree from the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University.

I follow a number of pro/semi-pro/amateur clubs: Los Angeles Galaxy, Long Beach State (all teams), Los Angeles Angels, USC Trojans football, Belmont Shore RFC, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Sparks, Chelsea FC, Anaheim Ducks, Montreal Canadiens, Melbourne Vixens netball, Melbourne Victory, Saskatchewan Roughriders, FC Tokyo, Auckland City FC and AFC Wimbledon.

I have been an anime and manga enthusiast since August 1995. I volunteer as an Anime Expo (AX) staff member every 4th of July in downtown L.A. I also work for the Long Beach Bar Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of juvenile at-risk youth.

As a courtesy to yours truly and others on Bleacher Report, may I request that when you comment on his articles, stay on topic and do not talk about anything outside of sports or the topic itself. There are other forums out there for those topics; namely ours for example. And no personal attacks please; on this page that amounts to a no-win situation.

Other than that, enjoy my contributions here on Bleacher Report. And thanks for reading.

I thought you were just a dude who just hated U.S. sports when you were bashing the swim team but I was wrong lmao. But your perspective and vast knowledge of sports is actually kind of incredible. Especially after I read your short list and bio.

When live blogging on the LA Blues vs Dayton lions, your a bit off. I agree with you on Bright, there is a reason he is on lone from an MLS team. No passing, not that great, the blues midfield very weak as well, just losing the ball too much. But their defense is solid, that triangle of Russell, Burke, Miller and Jatta when he is on and not making mistakes, is holding that team together. Burke's attacking/defending speed, Russell's perfect passes, Miller is a beast back there and the goalkeeper combined with Jatta... just solid. It time to give some thumbs up to those guys, their damn good.

I liked your article about MLS expansion teams. However, you did not mention Indianapolis! We have a great fan base and have recently created a facebook page. We could use some exposure! Check us out please!

As I've said before, it is completely your prerogative. I assume you write pieces to have it read—I'm just giving you advice if you'd rather have readers read the entire piece or click out a quarter of the way in upon seeing the length.
