Rich was born and raised in Grand Blanc, Michigan and has been a Michigan Wolverine fan his whole life. Growing up, rooting for his home state teams, the Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings and Lions, it didn't seem to matter that there was seldom a league championship to be celebrated. It was the love of the game, the competition, the historic performances that he witnessed either on television or in person. The passion continues for those same Detroit teams, even though he lives in another state.
