Well its been about 4 years since I was active on this. Since then a lot has happened to put it mildly. The rise of Conor McGregor in MMA has been a sensational development in Irish sport. More than ever, Irish people are tuning in to the latest developments from this charismatic young man's fight career. In rugby, Ireland drifted slowly to their lowest world ranking in recent memory before a transformation took place with a new coach from my home province, Leinster. Finally in other sports I keep an eye on, much has changed. In fact, the adage that the only thing one can be certain of is change is quite apt.
You may not rate O'Gara but he showed again why he is the only guy you want taking a last minute kick to win a game. As I said in our previous discussion. The guy has nerves of steel and the balls that not many others in the game have

Thanks a tonne for the fan add, mate!
Where you at Matt ?
Miss you man, hope to see you writing again soon.
The John Terry allegations have been well documented now, and in the latest Great Debate article I ask a lot of questions surrounding it, mainly "has it damaged England's World Cup hopes?" I think it has, but not for the reasons you might expect...
Also, Was Capello right to strip Terry of the captaincy? Is Ferdinand the right man to replace him? and what are your overriding thoughts on the whole farce?
Let your opinion be known!
Hey mate.. breaking news. Your opinion is appreciated...
The Roma machine roars on as they extend their unbeaten run to 17 matches, retaining the UWCC in the process, but this presents an even bigger question: Can they challenge Inter Milan for the Serie A title?
On this form, who says they can't?
Their most recent match against Siena was another great match, with two genuinely world class goals, one of which came in the last minute!
Also, find out where the title would be now if Manchester United had beaten Chelsea in the Community Shield, and in another brand new feature find out where the title was exactly a year ago today!
Following up yesterday's great debate is the one I've been waiting to write for a long time, and the one I think may be the best debate yet and a must-read for any football fan! Should video technology be introduced into football? Would doing so take away from the 'magic' that makes the game so great? And would it help or hinder the referees? Have your say in the Great Debate!
Matthew, after the Henry handball yesterday, I have decided that replay must be implemented in the beautiful game somehow. Please tell me your reaction.
