Started playing baseball at 5 yo. The hardball kind, that's what we did back in the day. Played all kinds of baseball until I tore my ACL in my mid 20's. Played football from 6th grade til I hurt my knee my junior yr of high school. Played a little basketball but never really liked it. High school at a little school outside Corpus Christ Tx. Moved to Houston in '67 for 21 yrs. Retired from baseball after injury then took up motorcycle racing. I know, sounds weird, but I just seemed to be good at it. Oh yeah, I took a lot of cortisone shots. Race all over southeastern US retiring in 1982 when I had to choose between professional responsibilities and racing. Took up golf, which my Dad had taught me to play at 10yo. I loved the game but never really focused on it, guess baseball and racing got more of my attention. Anyway began playing on weekends, then holidays, then on vacations. Became a golf nut. Moved to the east coast in '88 and played a lot there. Played some really nice courses and was getting in about 100 rounds a year. Retired in '05 and moved back to my beloved Texas. I do summer in the UP of Michigan. It's my beat the heat place. I get in 250 or so rounds a year and spend a lot of time following sports. I have a loving wife that understands me and my need to compete, only reminding me occasionaly I have do some things with her. :-) Anyway, that's about it. You probably have a good picture of me by now. Ha!
