Jacob's Bio

As the Fantasy Football Community Leader at Bleacher Report and editor of Fantasy Football Fools, I enjoy spreading my addiction to fantasy football and the NFL. Don't worry—while contagious, fantasy football addiction doesn't cause a rash. On Bleacher Report, I publish original features and community collaborations in addition to select articles from Fantasy Football Fools.

To contribute to the latest community features, propose an idea for one, or just talk football, shoot me an email. I'm always available to help a fellow player with lineup questions, pickup/drop evaluations or start/sit decisions, and for the love of all that is pigskin and Excel, join the fantasy football community here at B/R.

Jacob Writes About

  • Jacob's Activity

The Short List What Jacob thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Tony Romo, Vince Young, Brandon Marshall, Andre Johnson, Tony Scheffler, Mike Modano, Dirk Nowitzki, Matt Forte

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, Texas Longhorns, Green Bay Packers (for fantasy purposes)

  • Favorite Coaches

Bill Belichick. There's something about the dark side you just have to respect.

  • All Time Sports Moment

Tony Scheffler's Superman dive into the end zone against the Houston Texans in 2007. That won me a fantasy playoff game.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Kenny Rogers' no-hitter as a Texas Ranger. My dad and I sat outside the ballpark for the first five innings because I lost our tickets in the parking lot. (Never hold tickets in a baseball glove.)

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    The Miami Dolphin's undefeated season

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. He has a candy bar. Candy bars always win.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Unitas. Montana has a state named after him, so he's already a winner in my book.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. We are talking who has the longest tongue, right?

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky. A hockey player with all his teeth? Amazing.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Pele. Mostly because he can't be confused with Madonna. And what happened to the NFL questions?

  • Federer or Sampras?

Federer. He's got hair. Hair FTW. When do we get back to football?

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger. He only needs one leg to play golf. That's how it should be. Now can we talk football?

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Earnhardt. Anyone else is just Petty. Was that petty? I really would rather talk about football.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Seriously, where did the football go?

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

    Big 12. Always Big 12.

  1. Any time, Jacob. I actually picked up one of the RBs you suggested—he can't be any worse than my current tandem of Ward and Parker.

  2. Glad to hear it Jacob!

  3. You're welcome Jacob!

  4. How does early-season defensive performance correlate with rest-of-season performance? Is four weeks of data a large enough sample size?

  5. Glad to hear it Jacob!

  6. Wrote a article as we're approaching the quarterpole of the NFL (more so if you count preseason).

Which players surprised even the best of analysts?

  7. No problem on the edits Jacob. That's strange about the article being deleted though; I have no idea why that happened. Not sure who you check with about that either. Hopefully you can figure out why!

  8. New York has been owned by Derek Jeter for quite some time. Is Mark Sanchez taking this town over though?

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/262870-is-new-york-becoming-mark-sanchez-town

  9. Robert Griffin is a sophomore quarterback at Baylor. He should how remarkable he was in his freshman season and is truly a stud. He is only 19 and has a lot to learn. People should keep an eye on him, especially the NFL:

Hope you can check it out. Comments would greatly be appreciated as I'd love to hear your feedback on my work! Also, feel free to send your articles to me (don't PM though.).

    All the best,
    Josh dhani
