My name is Aaron Jacobs. I have been a sports fan for as long as I can remember. I am from Long Island, New York, born and raised. I grew up a big time New York Jets fan and eventually gravitated toward basketball and the New York Knicks. Those are my two "first-loves" I guess you could say.
Today, at 23, I am in my final semester at Stony Brook University, where I study broadcast journalism. I did not know what I wanted to do after I graduated from high School. I was an average to below average student, so I ended up in a community college where I earned my Associates Degree in General Studies. I made my way to Stony Brook University after improving my grades and figured out that I want to write about, film and edit sports. When I graduate I hope to eventually find a job in sports journalism, regardless of if it's a photographer, camera person or editor. My concentration in broadcast, so of course I want to be on camera. Hopefully one day I can become a sportscaster for a television network.
I would like to enhance my sports writing through bleacher and produce interesting pieces that people will read and comment on. Don't be shy about commenting on my work, because I love to have a good debate.
Thank you so much! I love your Knicks and Jets articles! Great job!
Thanks for the support Aaron!
I look forward to sharing more of my insight into the Jets future as a franchise, as well as reading the content you publish.
Stony Brook always treated me right when I road tripped as an undergrad; shoutout to my frat, La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated.
Get that paper.
