Hello there, my name is Kevin Casey. I am currently studying journalism at Northwestern University and I hope to one day call sportswriter my profession.
I am a big Minnesota Vikings fan (odd due to my Massachusetts roots) and love the sport of football, which I covered on the collegiate level this past winter and spring at bigtenorbust.com.
But my favorite sport to cover is golf. I was the beat reporter this past spring for Northwestern's men's golf team (a great program headed by Pat Goss, Luke Donald's current swing coach) and I have been covering golf for B/R for almost a year now.
I am now a Featured Columnist for the sport here and I hope that my articles show the love I have for the game. I am an ardent golf fan who not only keeps tabs on the game's current events, but also on its history. I have great fun in soaking in all knowledge I can about the game, new and old.
I try to keep myself unbiased in my writings on B/R in order to give the most clear and accurate view of the subject of which I am writing. I will pepper in references to old quotes, shots or stories from time to time because I hope readers will come away learning something new from my articles. Otherwise, what's the point?
I am glad to hear what you think of my writing good or bad, whether it be through the comments section or messages on my wall.
It's been a blast thus far here at B/R and I have no doubt the fun will continue.
Dude, change "Dawning a red shirt..." to "Donning a red shirt..."
