Tim's Bio

Tim Cary lives in Springfield, Ohio and has loved sports as long as he can remember. He is the writer of "Carrying On About College Football", a weekly interactive series of articles published each Sunday night on Bleacher Report, and hopes to continue to entertain readers while chasing his dream of covering a game from inside the press box.

"Interactive" means that you can make it into the latest edition of the COACF column: just e-mail footballcolumn@yahoo.com before the deadline (Sunday @ 7 pm Eastern) with your submissions for any of the following categories:

MAYBE BROADCASTING IS EASIER THAN I THOUGHT
...what did you hear a television announcer say this week that you just couldn't believe?

THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT
...the ridiculous stat lines and improbable scores that make you think the sports ticker has malfunctioned.

THANK GOODNESS FOR MY DVR...
...the jaw-dropping highlights and plays that were worth rewinding for.

MAYBE COACHING/OFFICIATING IS EASIER THAN I THOUGHT
...this is where you can second-guess the guys in headsets...or in stripes.

MAILBAG
...everything else! I want to hear why I should cover your team's next game in my "Diamond in the Rough" profile...or why I should rank your team #1...or whatever else you want to know/discuss/ask.

Send in your submissions by Sunday night, and then check back to see if you made it into that day's column!

Note: If you are interested in having Tim appear on your radio show or cover a specific game, just e-mail footballcolumn@yahoo.com.

Your Carrying on column is awesome.. I just read it today and I enjoyed it..

Anyway, I do a radio show for another website every Thursday at 6:30 PM ET. Id love it if you could join me to just shoot the breeze sometime in either 6:30 or 7:00 segments maybe for like 10 minutes. I wanted to get a specific game in from someone, but your article shows me we could talk just about anything from last week. I don't really know what specific stuff we would talk about, but I could let you know tomorrow what I'll cover. Definitely get in that Purdue/Oregon game since your Purdue fan.

You'd simply call in at a given time and I'd bring you in. The show probably isn't heard by many live, but a lot of people listen to it afterward downloaded so we can plug your column and everything. Let me know if your interested..
