Greg Buschow commented on Boston Red Sox: Why David Ortiz is a Bargain at $15 Million:
I believe Ortiz would have lost the arb case. His closest comparables are Dunn and Martinez as you mentioned, but both those guys can play in...

Born and raised in Nebraska, I am a die hard fan of Husker, football, baseball and basketball.
Given the fact that Nebraska has no professional teams in any sport, I chose all my favorite pro teams at an early age.
The most prominent of those choices was, and still is, the Boston Red Sox
I chose them due to the fact that their fans seemed to be as passionate about baseball as the fans here in Nebraska are about college football. After all, the passion of the fans is what keeps sports thriving.
I've been a Sox fan since the early 80's and have listened to nearly all their games since the start of XM radio. What a wonderful relief for a displaced Sox fan!
I joined the bleacher creatures at the request of a friend and have found it to be very enjoyable. My writing skills still need a lot of work, but this a great place to learn. Its also a great place for passionate sports fans like me to let their opinions be heard! Thanks for the opportunity and I hope you enjoy my articles.
Just because they did what you suggested doesn't mean it was a good idea. We'll see, but I have a feeling they just hurt the team, especially since they used half the money to acquire a .240 hitting outfielder. They might as well have re-signed Drew.

greg, Go check out an article by Big Ern on the Nebraska page. It is a list of the 10 greatest college teams of all time. There is a 2001 Miami fan there that says Nebraska was never ever a "power rushing" team, that it was nothing but finesses because they ran option. Apparently, this idiot thinks Nebraska's entire rushing game consisted of Option L and option R! LMAO Tell him what you think. tellFarris about him!
