Born in Western Pennsylvania, moved to Boston @ 14 yo. Played three major sports - basketball, football, baseball in hs. Attended Boston Univ - two degrees. Post-college played bball against: BC boys - Bagley, Barros, Chandler; also against PC's Stacom, Campbell and other Div 1 players;. against NBA: Gerald Henderson (jerk), Abdul Aziz (Don Smith). 21 orthopedic surgeries and now a few years later, I watch. I've spent time with Red Auerbach - told him to trade Ainge a year before he did ( I don't think it was as a result of my opinion, I'm not that stupid). Played touch football w/Steve Kiner (really crazy) and Jim Nance after they retired from the Pats. And that, as they say, is that.

    Russell. Defense wins, period. Celtics v. Fakers '08.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Gretzky (sadly)

  • Pele or Maradona?

    I don't know anything about soccer, except that it's an "esteem-builder" for clumsy kids who play in games that no one ever loses. What a joke.

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Sampras, for the time being.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Tiger by light years. Nicklaus wasn't magical and didn't play against the same level of comp.

    Who cares. What a waste of fossil fuel. And it attracts such interesting people.
