Andrew's Bio

Definitely a Cleveland homer, but I love sports enough to pay attention to the rest of the world.

Currently working on an undergraduate degree in linguistics with a business minor. Will attend graduate school in sports management.

Behind family, friends and faith, sports are and have always been my biggest passion.

Hope to be a college basketball ambassador to Europe, especially the former Yugoslavian countries of Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Slovenia.

Bulletin Board (10) Post a note »

  1. I'm extremely excited about Johnson. I could go on forever about the kid, so expect a nice, long article recapping the Vikings draft sometime late Sunday or Monday.

  2. I think we gave up a lot, but I think it was the lowest we could've paid for the best defensive end in the NFL. He is arguably the best defensive player in the NFL.

We paid a lot for a great player. I hope it pans out.

  3. Good stuff. I just went to DC for the first time this week; I saw the astronaut and momentarily thought about taking a pic next to it and making it my logo. Then I realized that would be sort of weird. So I didn't.

The No-Astronaut logo is much improved.

  4. Thanks, Andrew. Looks good. Looking forward to the others.

Dude, I have to ask: What's with the picture?

  5. I guess it was after school...but whatever...

I hope that this releasing is the making of a big future plan, but I'm glad to get rid of Williamson nonetheless. (The Vikings also just released QB Holcomb as well...they have some extra slots now...)

I also stockpile draft picks on Madden...lol, I end up with two good players on my team and seven first round picks. I feel like I'm cheating somehow...

I also realize your point that Jackson needs targets, and he needs them before the season starts. I would prefer Bryant Johnson, or of course Randy Moss, who should be snatched up right away by the Pats.

  6. Yeah, I saw it on ESPN (during school...)

I don't know what to think. I thought that we could've gotten more out of him, but after snooping around some fan sites, I guess the general mood is that they're glad to get whatever they can.

    But a sixth round pick?

I know that Brady was taken in the sixth round, but most of the time you draft guys like Tyler Thigpen in those rounds...oh well...

  7. Thanks for the nice words, Andrew!

  8. Hey Andrew, thanks a lot for reading and for your edits! :-)

  9. Mountain West and Missouri Valley would be great. We also get no love for the MAC or West Coast (or any of those Left-Side conferences). Any or all would be great. Thanks for the help.

The CBB discussion has picked up a little recently, and I hope it will get even better with March approaching...

  10. Thanks for the add, Andrew, and welcome to BR. As it gets closer to conference tournament time, would you be willing to do a write-up/prediction article on a conference or two, perhaps one on the lesser known conferences like from your mid-major article? I'm trying to get as many conferences covered as possible.

    Thanks--Tim
