Jeff's Bio
http://aclevelanderinexile.blogspot.com
Jeff (formerly Dr. Poove') is a born and raised Clevelander, from THE 'Ville, who spent four years of college in Pittsburgh at THE Carnegie Mellon University from 1995-1999 where he couldn't even root for his beloved Browns. This has left him cursed to have a friend pool of half Browns fans and half Steelers fans.
He currently lives in exile in the Nation's Capital waiting for that fateful day when "You Know Who" dies and he can sneak up to Baltimore and tinkle on his grave. Why? Because "You Know Who" deserves it.
Jeff was born catholic but was taught to worship the Buckeyes on Saturday and the Browns on Sunday. He also lives and dies with the Indians and still follows the Cavs.
Jeff can be reached at smirnoff.jeff@gmail.com and welcomes any feedback, even from Steeler fans.

Favorite Sports Teams
Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Ohio State Buckeyes
All Time Sports Moment
Hasn't happened yet. Cleveland needs to win something while I am alive first. Maybe when I pee on Art Modell's grave? That would be glorious.
Most Memorable Game Attended
I attended the game before "The Shot" at the Richfield Coliseum. Most amazing sports atmosphere I've ever been in.
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Joe Dimaggio - 56 game hitting streak.
Ruth or Mays?
Mays. Despite sending the Tribe into a tailspin in 1954. Better all around player.
Unitas or Montana?
Montana. Unitas learned everything he knew from THE MAN Otto Graham. Montana delivered in the clutch more that Johnny U as well.
Jordan or Russell?
MJ - Best ever hands down. This from a Cavs fan.
Gretzky or Orr?
Gretzky. No doubt. Even I watched hockey for Gretzky.
Pele or Maradona?
Pele. It comes down to Brazil versus Argentina. Argentinians are overly arrogant, IMHO.
Federer or Sampras?
Federer. It's not his fault the talent pool isn't as large.
Tiger or Nicklaus?
Nicklaus until Tiger passes him. Ultimately, it will be Tiger.
Petty or Earnhardt?
The Intimidator. Petty may be a bit more iconic but I think Dale Sr. left more of an imprint on the sport.
Schumacher or Senna?
Pass.
Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?
Big Ten. I'm a homer. But it's nowhere near the best conference in football or basketball.

actually "The Prog" is closer to the Cuyahoga River than it is to Lake Erie....if the Tribe still presided in old Muni then they would be the Erie Warriors.

Jeff,
For next weeks edition of The Browns Table let me apologize in advance should I not be able to respond. My grandfather has unexpectedly become ill and things are not looking good for him. I'm traveling to Terre Haute to be with family.
I have very much enjoyed this table so post the link anyway. I'm just unsure of how the next week will work out.
Thanks,
Dustin

Hey Jeff.... When you say the 'Ville, do you mean Strongsville?
Hope so.... that's the only "'Ville" that matters in the Cleveland suburbs! Me, I'm Class of '98.
Anyways, thanks for your comments and insights and I'd be more than happy to volunteer for the next Brownstable.
Go Browns!!

Jeff:
Sorry I got the Browns Table questions answered so late. Been covering Joe Biden for Fox 8, following him across Ohio so I didnt get a break until late Thursday. By the way. When I had a chance to talk with him at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday one of the questions I asked him was...Browns or Ravens?
He said Browns.....

Jeff, its time for the last hurrah..
I'd like to do something for the Indians Community for the end of the year. It will probably just be an excel ballot for things like Team MVP and all that and probably a few questions. If you'd like to participate, post your e-mail to my bulletin board.
Nino
PS. Sorry for your crappy weekend.. That Browns offense is destined to improve though and the Ravens are an awesome remedy for them right now. At least they aren't the Bengals.

I don't know what's more alarming - Romeo's decision-making or the fact that you have a pair of orange pants. Either way, I just filled out the roundtable. Thanks again for the invite, and thanks for the comments on the OSU articles. I was just way too damn depressed, not to mention in the dark, to write about the Brownies. When does Cavs training camp start??? haha
