Steven B commented on Why Oregon Is Still King of the Hill:
You are most definitely a Ducks supporter however, and I'm saying this respectfully, you need to gain some perspective. Oregon has had 3 good years which...

Born and raised in Oregon in a sports loving family, I have been a lifelong Ducks fan. It's more fun now than in the old days! My other sports claim to fame is that I have been to three of tennis' grand slam tournaments, only missing the Australian Open, which I hope to get to soon. A love of reading and writing since I was old enough to hold a book has finally led me to pursue a freelance writing career. My previous professional life has been in marketing and sales for a variety of companies, and I also own a PR firm, Paris Communications. I live happily in Portland, Oregon, and also own a home in Palm Desert, California. When not attending Ducks football games, I also enjoy golf, gardening (I had a vegetable garden in my back yard long before it was cool), hiking, fashion, and traveling to places I've never been.
I admit I've enjoyed numerous articles you've written, but seeing as I haven't written anything in half a year, I was surprised to see you "fanned" me. Anyway. Keep on rocking. I like your take on things.
Great articles. I'm from Pdx as well, but live in SF. You are in good hands over there in the college football sphere at bleacher with Dan Rubenstein at the helm. Dan and I were acquaintances at U of O and lived in the same dorm together. Make sure you check out his podcast the solid verbal (http://www.solidverbal.com/) if you haven't already. Keep up the great work.
I decided just to put the old headline back. Sorry for the inconvenience, and it looks like people are reading it either way, so you're good to go!
No problem at all, Kay—welcome aboard!
Glad to hear my story on the Blog is being enjoyed by others, thanks for the kind words, and welcom to B/R. I am sure you will enjoy it here as much as I have.
Sorry you don't like the SEC. I am a Bama alumni -- I attended back in the Bear Bryant days..way before your time. Even though I admire your sense of humor and the fact that you are having fun talking about football....Alabama is where it's at ..at the moment. If I were from some other part of the country, I would probably not want to hear Roll Tide, or War Eagle either.....but based on my background, I dread the thought of hearing Quack, Quack. It's all part of the fun of football and for now....Rollllll Tide, Rolllllll !!!!!
