Brendan has yet to fill out a bio.
Just to let you know, I'm not a Chelsea fan - rather a lifelong Manchester United fan.
Thanks for reading. The thing about Fernando Torres is that he shows signs of bursting into life as a goalscorer, just like he did at Old Trafford in September, then completely anti-climaxes so to speak.
His last league goal was against Swansea on the 24th September. Since then, he's played six games, three of them the full 90 minutes, still couldn't find the net.
Roman Abramovich paid £50million for him as everyone knows - huge money. You'd be expecting Robin Van Persie kind of form for that investment. Torres needs to start scoring soon, and going on a big run of goalscoring form - if he doesn't, he may never get his confidence back fully, may never be as good a player, and most importantly, Chelsea won't get a good re-sale value for him. I personally think, to avoid that happening, Abramovich should cut his losses on the striker, either in January or the summer, especially if he doesn't get at least 10-15 goals this season, maybe more.
