About CJ »

My name is CJ Curtis: 16 year old San Diegan who is a major sports, baseball, and Padres fan. Although I make it my duty to keep a close track on the occurrences in the entire sports world, my main focus is definitely on my passion for baseball. I would describe my loyalty to the Padres as bordering upon being obsessive-compulsive, and each Padres' game is not just merely a simple game to me, but actually a tortuous and emotional life or death experience. To this point, being a devoted fan has been rewarded with complete disappointment and torment, but that will change once they win the World Series next year. Besides this slight abnormality, I would consider myself to be quite ordinary.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

September 17, 2005: Nationals at Padres: Chad Cordero is pitching in the bottom of the ninth with a 5-0 lead. Pads score 1 run and load the bases, but there are two outs. Then comes to the plate hero Khalil Greene, who launches a homerun (GRANDSLAM!!!!) into the left field bleachers on a 2-1 count. This miracle astonished the few fans that loyally stayed to the end (including myself). Ramon Hernandez won it in the 12th for the Pads with a 3-run homer into left field off of tall man Jon Rauch.
