Deron's Bio
I'm a soccer fan. I've never played at any particularly high level for three reasons. First, very few people of my generation had the opportunity or even knew you could play at a high level. Second, soccer in the US was damn near dead while I was growing up. Finally, I wasn't that good. The last point might be the most relevant, but the others matter.
I have made up for my lack of skill by being an active appreciator of the game. That's to say I'm a critic. I also coach, and attempt to nurture love of the game for future generations.
I'm a Colorado Rapids fan so I'll have a Rapids bias. I'm a fan of the US mens team. I think most European's and South American's are full of crap when they speak about the sport, but they'll tell you I'm the one who is full of it. Who cares. It's just for fun.

All Time Sports Moment
Paulo Di Canio, while playing for West Ham United against Everton. Di Canio a striker was in front of the goal when a cross was played into him. The keeper had been hurt on the previous play, and Di Canio had a certain goal. Instead of calmly scoring the goal, Di Canio caught the ball, pointed at the goalie, and threw the ball out of bounds. That's sportmanship.

I like that all time sports moment. That's pretty cool, and I've never heard about it.
