Chris's Bio
I'm a student at Tennessee in Knoxville. I was raised here and the only time I didn't live here was the one year I went to Virginia Tech. I grew up with two other brothers and was raised at University of Tennessee sporting events with them. Like a lot of people from the area, saturday's just aren't the same to me without tailgating and a football game. Though I would never say that other leagues suck or never have better teams, I firmly believe that the SEC is the best conference in college sports.
I've developed several random fanhoods, following the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago White Sox, and Orlando Magic since I was a kid. With the Eagles, it was all about Randall Cunningham and Cris Carter. But I grew up as a fan with them and they are definitely my favorite non-Tennessee team. The McNabb years have been truly great for Eagles fans.
The White Sox became my favorite baseball team because of Frank Thomas. Getting to see him win a World Series was something special. As for the Orlando Magic, well they just had cool uniforms. But I've still been a huge fan for years. The Shaq trade broke my heart, but Dwight Howard has since made up for it.
I've been to the Sugar(though I wasn't quite born yet), Orange, Fiesta, Cotton, Citrus, Music City, and Peach Bowls, most as a Tennessee fan. I've been to every SEC championship the Vols have played in. I've also been to a College World Series, which I would someday like to see in its entirety. One day I hope to go watch the Eagles play in the Super Bowl.
I'm not really much of a writer, I'm majoring in Computer Engineering for a reason. But I love sports and I tend to have opinions about them. Hopefully my writing will improve as I do more of it. Feel free to comment and respond on anything I write. And tell me when its bad!
I do believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I live every day to try to improve my relationship with Him. I have serious passions for sports, technology, and music. Also, I dream of being a bit of a pirate, and thus am a huge fan of Cruzan Rum. Thats a hodge-podge of my mind right there. It's confusing and all over the place, but its fitting.
