-
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
There are no unbreakable sports records. Incidentally, failure to adjust statistics for different season lengths is a pet peeve.
-
Ruth or Mays?
Ruth. Don't let the pot belly fool you. He was so much better than everyone else of his era it was silly.
-
Unitas or Montana?
Montana. 1979 ND Cotton Bowl comeback. The Catch. MVP of three Super Bowls. Greatest championship quarterback ever. Period.
-
Jordan or Russell?
Jordan. Defied gravity and showed up every time it really mattered. Russell is class personified.
-
Gretzky or Orr?
Don't have a clue. I'm from Florida.
-
Pele or Maradona?
Pele. Also defied gravity. Picture Jordan in mid-flight, only upside down.
-
Federer or Sampras?
Rod Laver. Played before big money open tennis took off, but probably the greatest ever. Sampras was a great champion, though. Federer may become the greatest ever, but the jury is still out.
-
Tiger or Nicklaus?
Both. Tiger is on track to overtake, but he has to finish. Jack is king until then.
-
Petty or Earnhardt?
Respect what they do, but just don't care. Very into F1. It's just like NASCAR, only 100 times more expensive, faster cars, greater danger and much better scenery; both literally and figuratively. Oh, and you get to turn right.
-
Schumacher or Senna?
Jackie Stewart, the Flying Scot.
-
Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?
The Southeastern Conference.

Jeff, Hope all is well! It's been a long time bud. I saw where Ali was one of your favorite athletes as was mine. His later career kind of ruined it for me, I guess he was addicted to fame. After Foreman many performances were terrible and concocted at best. I guess we need to remember in his prime it took 12 rounds to beat Patterson and Mildenberger as well as 15 rounds to beat Chuvalo and Terrell. Regardless a great fighter, but Jack Johnson a fast hard punching champ would have knocked him out. I think he was ours(generation) and had the heart of a lion but many were much better pound for pound , Dempsey, Tunney, Louis, to name just the heavyweights. see ya John ne1971
