am from old school
when someone leaves the sport at the top of their game - am very happy they provided me with wonderful memories until now
and they are moving on to other things in their life - safe, happy and healthy
so - i have no regrets when someone retires

Hi Marybell - Thanks for your comments...I guess I have always been a writer - just never found a way to make a living at it. Although everything I have ever done has had some writing involved. It is the root of my passion. Hopefully I will find a way to make it work for me someday...who knows? I am so glad to get to know you and everyone at B/R...just as I was at Roger's place although there were so many there! jaa

Love your picture! Never too much Roger! Visited the Rogerland yesterday and caught up on all the talk! Sort of slow at the moment but saw his schedule and it looks great for 2009! He is not going to kill himself on clay this year--i think that is good strategy because all the events previously did nothing for him at the French Open!

Hi Marybell - I think I am always posting on the wrong site - I always seem to forget where I am!! So don't worry about it...you should be able to delete posts but i have not found that the case...you delete a post but it returns. i have complained about it but so far nothing...
I think you express yourself very well and have a true grasp of the language!! I was suprised to learn that you are not a native! So whenever you do have time, we do love to have your comments!!
I do go to visit Roger's website often and listen in to the conversations. Normally whenever there is a match and i am too nervous to watch it or even watch the scores, i follow the action on the website...because these are all people who reflect exactly how i feel. I try to particpate once in a while but the traffic is heavy and there are plenty of others talking so i just listen...once in a while one of my articles gets posted there but there are so many writing now about Roger--see i started an avalanche of commentary!! I am getting ready to post my Christmas gift to Federer fans--i just need to tweak it a bit more!! thanks - always fun to chat! jaa

I find it hard to find time for conversation, i am addicted to Bleacher and your articles, but i have a demanding job(civil engineer-educational), so no much of a free time!!!
Besides, i come from Greece, and find it difficult to express fluently in a language that is not my native!!!
Be sure that my comments would be much better if i could write exactly what i have in mind!!!
I need to thank you for standing in Roger's side and writing all those articles about him, there were times of sorrow that we, his fans, kept coming here to take a break from the massive attack on Roger..
