The Truth About Colt Brennan!
12/12/2008
Born and raised in Hawaii. My father played in the Red Sox organization and I played football and baseball in High school. While I possessed great hands and good quickness my lack of size and speed prevented the offers from rolling in. Surfing in Hawaii is King and at 41 I still surf daily. I have twin girls age 5. Olivia and Angelina are the greatest things in my life. I attended the University of Hawaii and I'm a die hard UH and Redskins fan. Colt Brennan is my favorite athlete of all time. Hail to the Redskins for drafting him!
Aloha Chad,
Hope you got my email. Brah you are so lucky. Hopefully they will come to Kona. I got to meet Kawika Mitchell a couple of months ago. He was here for a football camp and he was hanging out at my work place cause his cousin works with us. Was pretty cool, nice guy and he also had couple other Bills with him too. Hope all is well with you and your ohana too.

Thanks for the buzz, Chad.
It's good to hear that people all the way in Hawaii are as passionate about their pigskin as they are here on the eastern seaboard. I have to agree with just about everything you said.
Despite all the BS about his size, weight, strength and lack of solid conference opponents throughout his college career, the fact is that QBs from schools way smaller than his have gone on to be superstars in the NFL.
Look at Steve McNair from Alcorn State. Or Kurt Warner and Jake Delhomme who both had to go through years and years of training, practice teams and NFL Europe before they shined on the big stage. Brennan played at a D-I school, regardless of whether or not he's from the Pac-10, the Big East, the Big-10 or the SEC.
If you actually take the time to evaluate his abilities and raw talent objectively, more people would see that Colt has above average accuracy, one of the fastest releases in the past decade, almost won a Heisman trophy while playing in the WAC-conference and even though he was up against 2nd and 3rd team players in last year's preseason games, succeeded in completing short and intermediate passes for touchdowns against NFL-caliber players.
Keep up the good work and keep on reading. I'll post some more information on the Hawaii Warriors and their great coaches/players in the future. (Warriors are one of my FAVORITE teams)
