I'm a wife and mother who was raised at my father's knees watching Alabama football and MASH!! I still love MASH too!! I'm a stay at home mom. I have a little girl and I love being her mom. I'm also raising my two nephews. If it isn't football season and if I'm not helping kids with homework, I have my nose stuck in a book. I'm writing two books--one is a Southern Humor book and the other is kinda romance--save the smart remarks I have to hear those from my husband. I decided to try out sports writing because I love football and I have a smart mouth but don't worry this is not a career move for me. I drink on occasion if there's no kids around which is rare and I'm on a quest for the perfect Margarita. I think it's a worthy quest!! My husband is a river boat captain and so he's gone several days at a time which gives me plenty of time to do what I please. Now if those kids would stop telling on me!! I live in a small town just south of Tuscaloosa and I'm usually in T-town several times a month and I always drive by Bryant-Denny and whisper a Roll Tide to "The Bear"!! I'm proud of my heritage of being Southern and Cherokee. I'm not a liberal, a feminist nor do I believe in being PC!! And I talk to my Mama and Daddy at least twice a week.

Yes, Roll Tide! I was a TV sports reporter in Huntsville and covered the Tide all of that championship season. I got to know several of the players quite well...they were nearly all really good guys. I even ran into some of them again when I went to Dallas and covered the Cowboys. George Teague and Sherman (running back- can't remember his last name) both played for the Boys during my time there. One of my favorite guys from that team had played high school ball near Huntsville - Antonio Langham. He was a good ol' country kid with a great smile and personality. I had a good time in 'Bama and still keep in touch with some of the TV folks I met there. That championship game is still one of my greatest sports memories.
