  7. I've been working on this for a while and now 2010: A LeBron James Odyssey is ready... if you want to know what will happen next summer you must read this:

  8. Hey Stephen, this is Nate Rossman who wrote the article about the NBA and Montreal. I think you make a great point about the Canadiens' season being at the same time as the NBA season and I have thought about that too. After speaking to a friend of mine who is from Montreal I don't think it would be an issue and here is why: The Canadiens apparently have a long waiting list (like seveal years long) just to be able to buy season tickets. All of their games are sold out and it's not so easy to buy single game tickets either. I'm guessing that alot of people who are Canadiens fans, but can't buy season tickets or can't get as many single game tickets as they want, would take that money (at least some of it) and spend it on an NBA game instead. What do you think?
BTW, I'm also a Nets fan and I was at the season opener this past year at IZOD and I think that this past year the Nets really could have been a force in the East but they weren't managed well. Imagine they had kept RJ and re-signed Krstic. They would have had a legit big 3 in RJ, VC and Devin Harris and two skilled 7 footers in Krstic and Lopez. Throw in some Hayes, Hassell and Dooling for depth on the perimeter and a little Boone, Anderson, Swift, and Willians for depth in the post and we are talking about a solid roster! But they were never playing for this year anyway, it's all about the future in Brooklyn so anyway... thanks for the comment on my Montreal article.

  9. Hey,

I know you are a big NBA fan and if you are a true NBA then you know of the travesty that is currently happening in Oklahoma City. I am not talking about the Sonics moving there, I am talking about Kevin Durant being held captive on that team.

The team is stuck in a perpetual cycle of rebuilding. How are they going to resign all those high draft picks? They can’t offer everyone one of those guys over $10M a year and if they sign Durant to the max offer of $14M a year, which they’ll have to, then they cannot afford to sign a good supporting cast to help him win.

So, what I am asking for you is to come help me out with FreeDurant.com and write little posts about why it would be great for Durant to come to your city and help your team win a championship.
If you are interested go here: http://www.freedurant.com/about there is an email link on the bottom of that page.

Let’s create a storm to get Durant out of OKC to a place where he can win a championship!

And the site is going to be going through some revamp soon, just taking a while to get the graphics done.

  10. Stephen,

I was tired of listening to ESPN Radio raise money for a foundation named after somebody who cheated. I decided to write about about coach who died of cancer but nobody talks about. Thanks in advance.
