About

Graduate of San Jose State University. Live in the Bay Area. Also contribute to EDraft on topics pertaining to all things NFL and MLB (when topical). Previously worked for the Oakland Raiders as a staff writer.

On a more personal note, I enjoy fuzzy recollections of the previous evening, eating the flesh off a recently deceased tuna (in which I've caught) and a healthy duck-snort of Wild Turkey in the evening. And, of course, scribbling about topical sports stuff. Nostrovia.

I've recently decided to attract followers and not just follow on this thing called Twitter. We'll see how it goes.

Unfortunately shortly after I sent you the following message a couple of days ago, I had a conflict with a plugin that kept people from being able to register. All is fixed now so please feel free to visit http://sfgiantsview.com now and check it out!

You may remember me as a former writer on Bleacher Report covering the San Francisco Giants. My name is Bruce Friedman.

    I have started a blog, http://sfgiantsview.com

I would be honored if you would register for my new blog and tell your friends.

SF Giants View will have regular insights on what's happening with your San Francisco Giants, as they try to win the World Series 3 of the last 4 years.

If you'd like to contact me for anything please fill out the contact form through the site.

Thanks for your time and sorry for any trouble this caused.

Just wanted to let you know that I respect and read all your work on the 49ers section. Very good insight and I can tell you put a lot of time into what you do. With that being said, I am now a fan of yours and look forward to reading your work.

    Hi Joe,
Here's an idea for an article.
"How will JH handle his maturation as the 49ers head coach?"
-getting rid of players that help build the success of the team particularly if the team wins a championship or two?
-the loss of coaching/management staff that plagues winning teams?
-I'll let you and your editors come up with the third and more topics/questions.

I was never pleased with the way Montana, Lott, and Craig were treated when their time with the 49ers came to an end. And I wonder how JH is going to handle it particularly if he gets a player/qb he seems to connect with in the way BW and JM did.

Maybe I live in my head too much and others here at the B/R won't find this line of inquiry interesting.

Don't let the ill-mannered get you down. I enjoy your writing, and felt that your Cub's article was spot-on.

You know what, you're right, I missed that article on Hunter. I can't believe it, I'm on this thing (B/R) like everyday. It might've gotten booted down on a heavy article day, I don't know. I feel niner-negligent, I'm a bad fan.

Hey, I'm going to the NINER giants game (payback game), it'd be cool to meet you, Vincent, Brandon, Jesse, etc. in person if you're out there. Lemme know.

    Thanks for the Hunter link.

    Hey Joe,
It's the original Michael H. from your recent SeaHacks post...nice to meet you too! Nice roundup, would have responded to many replies, but I think my "evil clone" took offense and flagged my post (banned from thread). Oh well, we'll work it out on the gridiron!

Keep up the great work ; )

    Dear Joe:
Someone edited out the word ‘postseason’ in paren 3 of:"San Francisco 49ers: 7 Cult Heroes in Team History.” Though you’d like to know before some idiot (?) mentions it.
