Thanks for the comments. You see the new trade they made. I think that's a better trade for the Hornets moving forward.
As for your spoiled comment, the athletes today are. Everything has to be their way, or it's the highway. It was different when I grew up, but that was a different era.

The trade made sense for the Hornets long term and the Lakers, Rockets, Hornets trade would've made sense for the Hornets short term because they were receiving some pretty good underrated players who aren't young like Eric Gordon, Al Farouq Aminu, and Chris Kaman.
Yeah I guess you are right. Players take the easy way out to win championships. Not a lot of Tim Duncan's, Michael Jordan's, Kobe Bryant's, David Robinson's left that stick with a team long term whether they are winning or losing.

It was a good read but I kinda disagree with the competitive balance part. CP3 is gonna leave New Orleans at the end of the season, so they might as well get the most out of him and accept the best offer as possible. Next off season he is going to sign with another club and the competitive balance would be ruined more so than it would have if this trade went down.
As for the owners, I think its just a bunch of BS. Do not interfere with anything that does not involve your team. Dan Gilbert has no business of telling Stern to reject a deal the Cavaliers are not involved in. I wouldn't see Dan Gilbert complaining if CP3 signed with the Cavs, and lets be real that would never happen.
Athletes are grown men and should decide where they want to play whether its being the focus of the team or having another superstar alongside to play with. Just like when people like you and I would possibly move to another city if we find a suitable, fitting job.
And I believe Stern said something like that it's better if Paul stays in New Orleans. Does that mean he can dictate wherever a player signs? It's better that Tyson Chandler stay in Dallas but he signed with NY, it was better if Caron Butler stayed with Dallas but he signed with the Clippers, it was better if Melo remained in Denver but he was dealt to NY.
This deal is not even lopsided enough for them to say anything about competitive balance. LA gets the best PG in the league. New Orleans gets 2 great underrated PF's and a great scoring machine in Kevin Martin. Houston gets arguably the best PF in the league. I dont see what the problem is.
I do agree with the spoiled part. They see problems and they go running off to other teams. What happen to the Kobe's that stuck with Lakers through rough times, MJ with the Bulls etc.
