Started as a sportscaster and sportswriter while in high school in hometown of Livermore, CA. During college, covered baseball for the Stanford Daily and hosted a sports show on KZSU radio. Returning to sports following a career in advertising, public relations and teaching. Moonlights (literally) as a jazz piano player. Married, one son at Purdue (Boiler Up!).

    Keep up the great work on the 49ers articles and I'll keep reading. The middle distance events were always my strongest on the track (800 and 1500), but I could pound out a good 5k or 8k when I needed to.

    Scott, thanks for your kind words about my historical post. I really enjoyed your post on Hunter. Steve Young was such a stud. People don't remember how dynamic he really was, especially nowadays with the "redzone" causing people to focus only on the "now".
