David's Bio

First and foremost, I am a writer.

I absolutely love the spirit of competition and will do anything to capture that moment so that readers can try to enjoy what I witnessed. I love all sports really, but above all, I love basketball. Of course Jordan is who got me hooked, and players like Iverson, Bryant, James, Arenas, Howard, and Wade (to name a few) are who keep me watching.

I've been playing basketball since I was in 4th grade. As I matured into my game, I got the nickname "1 Man Sho" because whenever I used to go to the tournaments for private school,(SWAU, Union College Tournament, PUC, and PVA) people would always come to see me. I went to private schools all my life, so my circle isn't that big. However, I did dominate teams, don't sleep. I continued the dominance into college, where I didn't play for Oakwood's team, but I did do Intramurals where I made a couple of posters.

I currently still play basketball, but purely for recreation. I stand at 6' 4" 205lbs and my vertical is very explosive. If I had to describe my game, I'd say it's like a Michael Finely in his prime, or a young KG in his prime at best.

I graduated in from college in '08 with a Communications degree and that's where my journey to become a professional sports writer began. So far I've had an internship at the Huntsville Times in Alabama that really exposed me to the professional sports environment.

My goal is to eventually be among the top two in the sports writing profession who are Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon. I just have to keep climbing that ladder. I just have to maintain my writing skills and keep improving everyday. So far, the world really hasn't gotten a chance to see what I can do. Hopefully through this site, I'll be able to attract a fan base and build my empire similar to Max Kellerman lol.

I haven't figured out what I'm going to call my blog. My previous blogs were called "The Last Shot", but that was already taken. Then I had "Robinson's Retreat", but that really didn't have anything to do with basketball. I have another basketball blog up on www.nbabasketballonline.com/onemansho; check it out if you get a chance. I just figured it out though, my name for this blog will be, "The Triple-Threat."

Why?

You'll have to keep up with my articles to find out.

I'm out.
