Though my job is writing, it's in the factual educational field (recruitment prospectuses primarily) and not journalism. I've been in this business for years and years but only recently taken any steps to get my own writing out there into the wider world, and my passion for tennis, newly ignited, seemed the best place to start.
I have always loved this sport, played a lot when younger and have started up again recently. Squash too. Married to a sports teacher, and so have been exposed to a huge variety of other sports too. I also love dance, though have even less talent there than in sport!
Once intending to go to art college - before the English lit bug took over - I'm now also rekindling some creative sparks with a digital camera, and teaching myself a bit of graphic design software.
Love film (Coen Brothers, Brokeback Mountain, Fred and Ginger, Pan's Labyrinth and much more). Addicted to Rufus Wainwright's music - he's playing on my iPod all the time. Aural Federer.
Talking of which, my biggest ambition? To interview Roger Federer and publish the results.
