Lace's Bio
Lace Banachek enjoys diverse arts. As a young boy I use to box in a boys club. Later on in life I studied Martial Arts. In the beginning was Karate. In the later years I enjoyed Kung Fu (White Tiger). Another art is music.
I have been awarded for songwriting contests I have entered. I enjoy writing lyrics and setting them to composition. Some of my music has had airtime (Country and one gospel song in the eighties). My favorite music is 60’s and 70’s and Elvis and Motown Soul is my all time listening pleasure.
Besides these enjoyments I am motivated to providing stable home life for abandoned and abused cats. At last count there are 18. The first of my cats is no longer living. KC died September 2006 from cancer. She was 17 years old at her passing. She was also the only one of my cats ever purchased. All the others just seem to "meow-n-der" their way in.
I have a Master in Criminal Justice and was certified private investigator for the state of Washington. However, I am not from Washington State. I am the son of a truck driver. I have lived a gypsy style life and today I still get the urge to meander. The problem with that today is I have too many things. In those days I had nothing (but a suitcase). I am a former resident of Ventura County California pre 1994. If anywhere was considered home prior to my move to Boise it was the years I spent in California.
I love sports, mainly football. I am a huge Bronco fan. I am not saying I am huge. I am saying I like the Broncos a lot. I first took a shine to them when Zabranski was QB and took them to the Liberty Bowl. That game was so exciting. Hawkins was coach and Pete the offensive coordinator. Nice team! The Broncos are the first college football program that I have enjoyed in many years. Probably since Ara Parseghian’s and Dan Devine’s Notre Dame teams of the 70’s eventually starring Joe Montana.
I was a fan of Joe's from the moment he came off the bench for coach Devine. That was so many years ago but it seemed like Joe was always coming in off the bench. In 1977 Joe was finally made the starting QB after replacing the injured starter and took Notre Dame to victory and straight to the Cotton Bowl. I use to listen to sports on the radio back then (boxing and football that was exciting in those days).
Thank you,
Lace
