I've lived my life in Southern California, more specifically, Redondo Beach. I am what many would call a career college student, and my long college journey has proved to be...well...long. I've taken courses towards just about every degree you can think of; business, computer science, journalism, video editing, communications, and finally, liberal studies. My college career has made me a more well rounded person, but I do wish I would have focused on my two passions right out of high school; writing and teaching.
While the college experience has been going at a snail's pace, the core of my life went at an accelerated pace. In 2003 I met my wife, in 2004 we were married, and 2005 brought us our first baby girl. Now, eight years later, we have two girls and a foundation in place to last a lifetime.
My favorite teams are the Dodgers, Lakers, LA Kings, Rams, and USC Trojans. While I will always pull for my team, I will not come across as a "homer" in my writing. Think about the voices Los Angeles has been fortunate to have over the years; Chick Hearn (Lakers), Vin Scully (Dodgers), and Bob Miller (Kings). Not only do they provide a great play by play of the game, but if you didn't know what team they were broadcasting for, you wouldn't figure it out during the game. They provide an unbiased presentation of the game, and that is how I would like my articles to come across. Nothing is worse than debating a writer on what they wrote, only to have them dismiss everything negative said about "their" team.
I have a huge interest in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Not only the major promotions, but also the amateur circuit and smaller pro events around the country.
I now take my passion to Bleacher Report, and I look forward to interacting with each of you.
