About

I am a junior at Washington State University striving to become a sports reporter and broadcaster in the future. I am a Communication major with an emphasis on Journalism/Media Production (Broadcast News), and I also have a minor in English.

To help me ultimately achieve my goal, I am currently working for The Daily Evergreen newspaper, KUGR Cougar College Radio, and eventually Cable 8 Television Productions here in Pullman, Washington.

In my involvement with KUGR, I was a Co-Host for the sports debate show "Wildfire" with Evan Baron and Chris Shaw. This year, I am a play-by-play and color commentator for the station, and I am currently a Co-Host for the show "The Front Office" with Matthew Zimmer.

I am also a beat reporter and columnist for The Daily Evergreen, an on-campus newspaper here at WSU. I cover Washington State athletics as well as periodically writing columns for both college and professional athletics. I am the WSU Women's Swimming Beat Reporter for the Fall 2014 semester.

I work for Cable 8 Television Productions as a production assistant and Master Control Coordinator, and will be an on-air talent next spring.

This summer, I earned an internship with Bleacher Report through its Advanced Program in Sports Media. I will learn the many aspects of digital media and will also be a contributor for the Bleacher Report website.

I hope to one day work for a major sports television or radio network as a sports broadcaster, anchor, or reporter.

Some of my specialties are that I have versatility with experience in both print and broadcast journalism, I have a tenacious work ethic, I have an energetic personality, I am a team player, I am eager to learn, and I am passionate about everything I do and put my best effort forward every time.
