About

Go figure that I'd be a Notre Dame football fan, I'm Irish, I'm Catholic; but it doesn't stop there, and I grew up about 10 minutes from Notre Dame Stadium. Which all makes sense, something else that makes sense is that as a kid I was a Detroit Red Wings fan.

So one might ask, how do you go from the the Wings to the Sharks. Well, I'll tell you. In 2008 after living in Southern California, the High Desert to be exact we moved to Northern California and I went to my first Sharks game. San Jose is a great hockey town, the fans here love their Sharks and get amped for every game. So I continued to go to games here and there and I guess I drank enough of the cool aid. So 2009 the playoff series between the Sharks and the Wings was a tough one to watch, really couldn't tell you who I was rooting for, I didn't wear any Sharks or Wings gear it was painful. Last year, different story, watched all 82 games, even when I was traveling for work, went to about a dozen home games and finally retired by Shanahan jersey and donned the Big Pavelski! It's really been downhill from there.

Enough about my disfunctional sports taste. I spent 2 years in the Indiana Army National Guard before making the Army my full time gig. After 15 years of active service, 3 major deployments and working rescure and recovery at the Pentagon and World Trade Center in the months after 9/11 I decided it was time to hang up the uniform and get back to a "normal" life. That's when I landed in Southern Callfornia and what has brought me to NorCal and "Sharks Territory!"
