Michael's Bio

Big college basketball and football fan. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA so USC football is one of my favorites through thick and thin. Hate anything UCLA and USC basketball stunk growing up, except 1974 season, so I adopted UNC as my basketball favorite. Currently an elementary PE Teacher and loving it. Played high school and junior college basketball and have also coached boys and girls junior high and high school basketball. Married to the most beautiful woman in the world and father of seven.

I hope you can share some of your same thoughts.

p.s. Congrats on UNC cutting down the nets. I'm sure they're suffering in Durham!

  6. Mike,

Great to see there are people out there who actually care about other writers. As far as negative comments go, I welcome them (it's what stirs debates), but I just don't want readers to think I've said something when it was really somebody else.

Again, thanks for reading, and I look forward to checking out your stories (both past and in the future).

    Keep up the good work!

  7. Tim's actually a really good guy and a great sportwriter -- I don't know what got his goat about UNC this year -- I'm really not seeing much out of UNC fans in the way of gloating, taunting, etc., and believe me we could be after what people like Baby Tate, etc., said throughout the year (he must feel like a first-class idiot at this point). The 2009 UNC team isn't even among the three best UNC teams ever, and I don't really see a lot of people arguing that they are. Not sure what Tim's worked up over -- he's a South Carolina fan (as am I) ... I guess he must have read some articles somewhere else that upset him or something ... I'm actually a big fan of his.

  8. Thanks for the pick! I'll remember that.

  9. Michael, please check out my latest when you have a chance- I would like to hear your feedback...

  10. Hey Michael, you must be glad to get that #1 seed. Hope you sign up to play my fantasy march madness games with fellow Bleacher Creatures. Here's what I think about bracket pools and why these games are more for true college basketball fans.

  11. Thanks Michael. I don't know how you manage to write anything with 7 children! May Uconn and UNC meet in the championship this year.
