Alex's Bio

Alex Ruppenthal is a 18-year-old student at the University of Missouri studying Newspaper Journalism. He is from Naperville, IL, which sits 40 minutes west of Chicago.

He has been in love with the city of Chicago since he came out of the womb. Alex's passion is the Chicago Cubs and Major League Baseball. He is also a Bears, Bulls and Missouri Tigers fan.

Alex currently reports for The Maneater, the student newspaper at the University of Missouri. He also co-produces a sports trivia game show for MUTV, Mizzou's student TV station, and he co-hosts a sports talk show on KCOU, Mizzou's student radio station.

Alex grew up an avid Fighting Illini basketball fan, but he has changed his allegiance to the Missouri Tigers since arriving in Columbia.

    Hey Alex,

    I hope you've been enjoying the new and improved Bleacher Report—we're really happy with the feedback we've received so far.
