My name is Edward. I am 19 years old and always have had a passion for the local sports teams around here. Here would be the metro Detroit area. Being that I'm barely an adult, my prior experiences with the sports teams might not be the greatest (example: being not yet 10 years old when the Wings won the Cup in 02), but my at-the-time research and knowledge of the recent history is quite incredible for someone of my age group. I love this website and the constant stream of articles it provides, especially about my local teams. I picked up on Bleacher Report about a year ago, seeking some (at-the-time) current NBA knowledge of Free Agency. I have been an active reader since.

Most Memorable Game Attended

On a trip to visit my grandmother in Peoria, AZ in February of 2009, I witnessed the Phoenix Suns, one of my more favorite teams outside the local ones, massacre the LA Clippers 140-100. It looked to be the rebirth of the Suns and their playoff hopes, with Shaq being active again and the Suns running-and-gunning under new coach Alvin Gentry. There was not much to see on the Clippers, aside from a young, up-and-coming guard named Eric Gordon having a nice game, and Zach Randolph (now one of my favorite players) being ejected and later suspended five games for punching Luis Amundsen. Unfortunately, the next day against the same team, Amare Stoudamire played lights out, but tore his retina in the process. This lead to season-ending surgery, and effectively nixed the Suns playoff hopes for the year.
