I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA where I still live. I started my career working with kids and went to school in a related field by default. It wasn't until a few years after I finished college that I realized my side hobby of writing/blogging was more of a passion I wanted to follow. After a few stints writing for a local newspaper and CBS, a friend suggested I apply for The Bleacher Report's Sportswriting Internship.

Best advice I've ever received.

I went through the B/R internship in Winter 2012, "graduating" with a Featured Columnist position for B/R. I cover the Oakland A's and WWE. I love contributing!

I'm not much of a basketball guy, but I root for the Sacramento Kings by default. I also enjoy the Golden State Warriors.

My baseball team is the Oakland Athletics. I grew up with the Atlanta Braves (HUGE David Justice fan) but ever since the Triple-A River Cats arrived in town, I've converted to green and gold. I don't mind the San Francisco Giants. Have to rep Northern California.

My football team is the Denver Broncos. When I was old enough to start liking football (my family isn't into football) I chose the Broncos because A) they were winning and B) their colors. I was a kid then, but I've stuck with them this whole time.

I'm not super into college sports, but naturally I gravitate toward certain teams. UC Davis Aggies are my alma mater. Have to love what Oregon does. Drawn to the Duke Blue Devils (high school mascot was the Blue Devils).
