I reside in Sacramento, CA. After a few stints writing for a local newspaper and CBS, I went through the B/R internship in Winter 2012, graduating as a Featured Columnist for the Oakland A's. In August 2012, I became the Bleacher Report Internship Feedback Editor.
Here's a blog post I wrote for BR: http://blog.bleacherreport.com/2012/10/31/how-br-saved-me-from-a-career-i-didnt-like/
Some of the favorite things I've ever written:
My wife and I watched all of AFI's Top 100 movies of all time, rated and ranked them too.
January 2012: Joined the B/R Internship
April 2012: Graduated the internship and became a Featured Columnist
August 2012: Became a Feedback Editor for the internship program
September 14, 2012: One million reads!

Any time, Nick! And thank you for the words of encouragement! Go A's (seriously can't wait for the 2014 season, seeing as the lack of Sharks action and the fact that tonight's Warriors game is the last before the AS break have me feeling some Bay Area sports withdrawals at the moment).
No way, you're a Blue Devil? I actually went to Da Vinci Charter Academy, but I took some classes and played baseball at DHS. Small world!
No problem, Nick! And thanks! Glad to see a fellow UCD Aggie on B/R!
No problem, Nick! Those compound modifiers are sneaky, for sure. Keep on writing. You've got a good craft.
Thanks for becoming a fan, looking forward to the start of the 2013 MLB season and what you'll be writing about in the near future!
care for a fan add?
Nick-You are quite welcome.I know that it takes a lot of work to write and it's nice that you put together something that gives aspiring writers hope.No feedback, just to hone my skills and try again, which I plan on doing.I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to the possibility of starting B/R/U.I know that they get a ton of applications so I'm just assuming my article wasn't up to par.Ill just try to learn what I can and go from there. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Nick,Great article!I was recently not accepted to the writer's program but your story inspires me to hone my skills more and try again.
im sorry but that punk is weak article is pathetic what do you expect a person that has no control over if he is a coward or not do
No problem, Nick.
