Leroy's Bio
Mother Watson is much better; when that's the case, you better believe that her son is doing pretty well, too.
The outpouring of love, support and sympathy for myself, my mother, my wife and the rest of my family has been most touching. I don't have the words to truly express how I feel, so I will just offer up a deep, heartfelt "Thank you" for the bulletin board notes, e-mails and Private Messages. I have literally been encouraged by people from all over the globe -- 5 different continents -- and from all walks of life.
I would like to think that Bleacher Report is a special place that draws exceptional people together!
A tribute to Alice Joyce Watson, my mother:
"You taught me everything and everything you’ve given me
I always keep it inside, you’re the driving force in my life
There isn’t anything or anyone I can be
And it just wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t have you by my side
You were there for me to love and care for me when skies were grey
Whenever I was down you were always there to comfort me
And no one else can be what you have been to me
You’ll always be you always will be the girl in my life for all times
Chorus:
Mama you know I love you
Oh, you know I love you
Mama you’re the queen of my heart, your love is like tears from the stars
Mama, I just want you to know lovin’ you is like food to my soul
You’re always down for me,
Have always been around for me even when I was bad
You showed me right from my wrong, yes you did
And you took up for me when everyone was downin’ me
You always did understand, you gave me strength to go on
There was so many times looking back when I was so afraid
And then you come to me and say to me I can face anything
And no one else can do what you have done for me
You’ll always be - you will always be the girl in my life
Repeat Chorus"
"A Song for Mama," Boyz II Men, 1997
I am humbled by how well I have been received since I began contributing to B/R. I have been accorded Pick of the Day 24 times. If you would like to read any of them, you may follow this hyperlink for a full listing:

Hey Leroy,
Mark McGwire is back with the Cardinals as a hitting instructor, but there's one thing he needs to do before he can be welcomed back to baseball... talk.
If you have time, please check out my column. Thanks!

Dude!
In the comments section of this article, Anti-matter and I exchange some remarks about 'necessary' and 'sufficient' conditions that should be part of your STEM list. 'necessary' and 'sufficient' conditions are terms for alegbraic proofs, and AM and I got into it over who should be considered 'most' competitive. I really think this is an interesting way to present such abstract concepts.

An Article/rant that was sparked by ongoing revelations thanks to the USA today. you don't have to agree with me and I'll probably alienate myself a bit in the College sports section of Bleacher, but this is an important subject. Please support when you have some free time, Thanks, Ray!
