Scott's Bio

I'm your average guy from West Virginia who is devoted to the WVU Mountaineers. I am not a "great" writer by far but sometimes my brain and my fingers get together and act like a bunch of birds going after the last sunflower seed on a snowy January morning. Every now and then they peck out a little something useful.

I am the creator of the website www.thankscoachrod.com, a site dedicated to the terrible way Coach Rich Rodriguez left WVU. However, I never place the whole blame on him.

I hope I can write something to keep ya coming back...

Thanks for checking out Bleacher Report

All Time Sports Moment

Me, 12 years old, little league football championship game, 2-point conversion pass reception, I had actually run the wrong play as the tight end and caught the overthrown ball. But, I must mention the 33 yard touchdown reception/run by Quincy Wilson in the WVU loss to Miami in 2003. That was an amazing moment to put WVU ahead by 1 with two minutes left in the game. Unfortunately Miami was strong enough to march down the field for the game winning field goal. Still an awesome play.

  1. thanks for the help on the Lebron and Kobe article

  2. Thanks for the input-John

  3. Scott, next time you decide to edit an article written by me I would STRONGLY suggest you contact me first. The article in question is "Racing Tragedy: Edwards, Busch, You Could be Next" and the title was clearly changed by you.

You dislike what I've written, or think it could be said in a different way, fine, that's your opinion but having it doesn't give you editorial control over what I write without contacting me first.

  4. Thanks for the help.

  5. Duly noted.

  6. There were some errors in the last revision to my article, so I reverted to the one by Dan. Nothing personal.

  7. Hey Scott, thanks for adding me. I really enjoyed your letter to the editor. You really nailed it. Keep up the good work.

  8. Scott, thanks for the 'props'. Keep on 'writing in the free world'.. dude!

  9. Took me a second but i like your "most unbreakable sports record," clever...shame on me i should have caught it sooner i tend to like wordplay

  10. Wow dude thanks for thanks for the add :)

  11. Hey, thanks for the add

  12. Hey Scott -

Congrats on winning the Bracketbreaker Challenge. To claim your prize, please send your t-shirt size and address to dave (at) bleacherreport (dot) com.

    Thanks,
    Dave

  13. Hey Scott, I appreciate the add as a favorite writer! I certainly ruffled some feathers with my last article, and I appreciate your even-handed response to it. It wasn't my goal to piss off the WVU nation, but I just wanted to tell it how I saw it. Again, I appreciate it!

  14. Thanks for speaking up. I overall like this site, but there is some things I don't like(of course that happens with anyone). But I don't think I could have done what you did, way to stick up and take the abuse that came with it.

  15. Hey Scott -

Really enjoyed both your pieces on editing. As one of the guys who founded and runs the site, it's great to see guys like you stand up and take a leadership role amongst the community and spark some great dialog about the direction of the site. We're talking internally about the best ways to incorporate some of the feedback we're hearing as a result of your pieces, and hope they can help make Bleacher Report an even better place.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know your voice was being heard.

    Dave
