I am writing again for the BR but perhaps for a much more noble reason than most writers here.

I chose to write for my team and from the view point of a fan, not for the number of reads or comments that can be generated.

I know that I have better talent than a lot of the writers out there....but I'm not here to compete with them, at least not on their level. I choose to write what I am passionate about, not what BR wants me to. But then again, I never claimed that I wanted to make a living at this, I'm just a crazy Detroit Lions fan living in the Great Northwest.

But the Bleacher Report is ignoring some very good writers with views similar to my own. They have gotten too big and have stars in their collective eyes to think they are on the same level as ESPN, CBS Sports and SI.

So I will write but for what I want to write about.

    Enjoy your articles and like your viewpoint listed in your about section. I'm a Lions fan living in Texas, so I share your predicament (although I'll never conform to be a psuedo Cowboys fan; feels too much like making a deal with the devil). Anyone who can be miles and miles away from home yet remain loyal is a standup guy in my book!

    Not sure if you are looking for anything to write about... but I would love to hear some comments on the lions kicker controversy. After all Rayner is good but Hanson is.. well Hanson! Can Rayner pull punter duty? Can we really keep two kickers AND a punter?
