I am a New England native, grew up mostly in suburban NJ and have lived in California for many years. My dad took me to watch college football at Rutgers, and I have loved the sport ever since. My early sportswriting experience included covering my high school's teams for two rival weeklies in Central Jersey--writing different stories, about the same games, for two competing papers.

I am the B/R Featured Columnist for Stanford football, and occasionally write about other CFB teams, along with NFL, NBA, MLB, CBB, soccer and other sports as well. I lived in England for a year, and follow EPL and European soccer. I also still compete now and then, in masters track and field and swimming.
