John Spina was born and raised in Denver Colorado where he grew up breathing, eating, and drinking sports. Throughout his high school career at Denver East, He played varsity lacrosse and football, which he continued playing on the club level while attending the University of Vermont where he graduated in 2011. He has written for several publications over the last 5 or so years, both online and in print, covering a variety of topics, but is currently an intern with the Bleacher Report and a contributing writer for BeyondUsports.com.
