Patrick's Bio

Patrick Gallen is a writer at heart and loves everything about the world of sports. After graduating from West Chester University in '07, a mid-sized school outside of Philly, Gallen is now in production at the National Basketball Association in Secaucus, NJ, so he knows the game inside and out. He writes about everything he can think of in the sports world. Usually not Rugby or NASCAR, but you get the point. He is a resident of Philadelphia and spends time in New York City as well. He is as passionate about writing as he is about Nike Air Max. So comfortable. Don't hesitiate to write him an email on how bad his points-of-view are, or what a moron he is. He loves email. Check him out as well on Sportsjourney.com as a guest with The Other Side of Sports' Ari Bluestein.

check out my running diary of game 2!

  2. Hey Patrick, I'm sending out the end of the year MLB awards and predictions for the Community Leaders. If you want in, let me know your e-mail as soon as you can. I'm probably going to send them out by the end of the day.

  3. Hey Patrick.

Just wanted to let you know if you already don't, I have been upgraded to the position of co-Community Leader of the Phillies, right besides you. I just wanted to introduce myself to you, and if you ever need me, just shoot me an email at ckarcole@gmail.com.

  4. Since you are the CL of the Phillies, I thought you might be interested:

  5. Sorry I couldn't get one out last month. I've become over run with so many things that it kind of hit the fan...so to speak. I probably am done with that, maybe a final rankings, but we'll see. I should have clued everyone in. Anyway, good luck to the Phillies the rest of the way!

  6. i actually just went back to that baseball article and saw the date lol

  7. Hey, Completely disagree on your Elton Brand to Philly article!!!

  8. I'm not going to argue that the bullpen pitched well, but the hitting you Phillies fans think is so good, didn't show up for the series. I don't know how you can call the pitching situation equal. Our pitchers are all on the up swing, yours would be struggling to make a major league roster on most clubs.

Common, pitching goes to Mets, even with the bullpen in consideration.

  9. I believe I was told that I did not research my article well about the Mets vs. the Phillies, but I think if you look again, Santana did pitch very well and lost, but the rest of the series, I didn't see anymore comments from you. Is that because the Mets were feasting on the Phillies lack of pitching, while the "big bats" of Utley and Howard were silenced.

We haven't formally announced the partnership yet but will be doing so soon, so stay tuned for more info. Congrats on having your column chosen and exposed to an even bigger audience.

    Best,

    Dave

  13. Thanks for reading my article by the way. I appreciate your opinion!

PEACE AND HAVE A GOOD ONE!

  14. Hey Patrick, I am set now, but am going to keep this as a monthly column instead of bi-weekly as before. I think it will give more time for fluctuations in the order of the rankings, plus it will kinda be like a monthly recap from the Community leaders as to hoe the season is going. I will send out an excel document next week for you to fill out and send back. It is basically just ranking the teams and adding a few comments if you want. Nothing to extensive. I will take everyones votes and formulate the cumulative ranking of our group and then post it on May 1st as a recap of April.

Thanks for your patience, I guess I should have thought this through more before getting excited a few weeks ago. I have been busy with my other website's work among other things and this kinda hit the back burner. On a side note, whats the word on Rollins in Philly, I am trying to work a fantasy trade for him, but am leary with his injury. Thanks again!

  15. Go Phils!
