Gil Imber is a Bleacher Report Featured Columnist for the Rules section. He created the Umpire Ejection Fantasy League in 2006 and Close Call Sports in 2012. He is CCS's current owner and one of two UEFL Commissioners. The UEFL Rules Book is one of several sports-related codes which Imber has written or revised. Accordingly, Imber is a rules expert and provides analysis of events which involve rule interpretations or their applications. He has previously written about MLB ejections, NCAAF instant replay and the subconscious referee homey vs conscious homer effect.
He is a one person rules "Go Team" at the ready to investigate and analyze rules related situations as they occur and is known for his objective and fair analysis of rules related situations.
Imber is a current basketball official, having previously officiated collegiate football, softball and baseball, in addition to basketball. He is currently a member of his local basketball officials association's Ethics and Grievance Committee.
